Mission & Objective

Mission

AACM’s mission is to advance and disseminate knowledge and technology in composite materials, and to provide a regional and international platform for academic exchange, professional collaboration, and scientific development.

The Association encourages the free exchange of information among researchers, engineers, educators, students, and professional societies working in composite materials science and engineering. Through conferences, workshops, publications, awards, and other scientific activities, AACM supports the development of composite materials research across the Asian-Australasian region and beyond.

AACM also seeks to strengthen cooperation among composite materials communities in member countries and elsewhere, while promoting communication between scientific and engineering bodies with shared interests in composite materials.

Objective

promote knowledge exchange

AACM encourages the free interchange of information on all aspects of composite materials that are of interest to the scientific and engineering communities.

provide a regional forum

AACM provides an Asian-Australasian forum for the discussion of composite materials science, technology, engineering, and applications. This is achieved primarily through the ACCM conference series and specialized symposia related to composites.

connect scientific and engineering bodies

AACM promotes liaison with engineering and scientific bodies throughout the Asian-Australasian region with similar aims, and serves as a facilitator for communication among these organizations.

encourage young specialists and recognize excellence

AACM encourages the education of young specialists in disciplines supporting composite materials science and technology, and recognizes individuals who have made outstanding achievements in the science, technology, engineering, and application of composite materials.

Academic Scope

AACM covers a broad range of topics in composite materials science and engineering, including composite materials science, mechanics, manufacturing, processing, functional materials, structural applications, and advanced composite technologies.

The Association welcomes contributions from academia, industry, and professional societies, and supports interdisciplinary exchange across scientific, engineering, and technological domains related to composites.
